President, NGL Studios

Ben began his career as an MTV intern, before producing and writing for several seasons of Cribs, MTV News, VH1, and many of the VJ’s on-air. Next, Ben launched his production company Diamante Pictures out of his apartment, eventually growing it into a full-service production & post facility in the heart of NYC, delivering 100+ hours of television, plus hundreds of commercials, webisodes, music videos, and dvd titles. On YouTube, his videos have reached over 300 million views.

Now as head of NGL Studios, which he co-founded with John Leguizamo and David Chitel, Ben DeJesus directs, produces, and creates a growing slate of branded content, television, digital and documentary projects. Current projects include the Romeo Santos’ concert tour documentary featuring the superstar’s historic sellouts at Yankee Stadium and a PBS American Masters documentary film on the renowned Puerto Rican actor Raúl Juliá. Through NGL Studios, Ben directs dozens of branded content campaigns for brands including Ford, P&G, Valvoline, Lexus, Amtrak, Schick, Claritin, Jack Daniels, Buchanan’s, US Army, and more.

Ben also directed the PBS documentary Tales from a Ghetto Klown, capturing John Leguizamo’s struggles to mount his one-man show on Broadway and beyond. Produced by Ben and Oscar-winner Fisher Stevens (The Cove), the film premiered nationwide and received the NALIP Estela Award. Ben was recently selected as one of 10 directors in the ABC/Disney Director’s Program, where he is now prepping to direct episodic television.
