Dan Hernandez is a Supervising Producer on One Day at a Time on Netflix. Along with his writing partner, Benji Samit, Dan wrote on the television shows 1600 Penn (NBC) and Super Fun Night (ABC). Dan has also developed original pilots for Sony, NBC, ABC, and FX. Dan has also recently written feature films for Warner Brothers, Paramount, and Legendary.
Dan is a Cuban-American, who grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dan graduated from Brown University with a degree in English with an Honors distinction in Fiction. After graduation, Dan wrote and acted extensively in New York before moving to Los Angeles to pursue screenwriting. Recently, Dan appeared in Alan Tudyk's web series Con-Man and made his directorial debut with Dr. Terry Richard Bazes, Author of Lizard World, Presents Old People Eating Eggs in 3-D, which debuted to rave reviews at film festivals in Los Angeles and Poland. Dan is a Dungeon Master.
