Working across commercial and non-profit sectors, Desiree Gutierrez has spent the last 15 years honing her skills as an organizational communicator. She specializes in developing impact and engagement campaigns that include partnership development, public relations and marketing strategy, event production, and audience expansion. As a sole-proprietor, her clients included ITVS, Kartemquin Films, and Participant Media. In 2014, Desiree co-founded Impact Media Partners LLC, a boutique agency offering community engagement services with public media expertise. IMP has represented minority consortia members including Latino Public Broadcasting and Pacific Islanders in Communication; PBS properties such as John Lewis: Get in the Way, Bridging the Divide: Tom Bradley and the Politics of Race, and On Two Fronts: Latinos & Vietnam; and IMP is currently developing the engagement campaign for the CPB funded, Phillip Rodriguez project, The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo, about Chicano activist and counter-culture figure Oscar Zeta Acosta.
