Dr. Nelson Granados is the Academic Director of the Institute for Media, Entertainment and Culture at the Graziadio School of Business, Pepperdine University. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems, a Ph.D. minor and M.S. in Economics, and an MBA. He consults with technology companies in the travel, media, and entertainment sectors. His research on market transparency and digital distribution, published in top journals like Management Science and Information Systems Research, has won numerous academic awards (best conference paper, best IS paper of the year) and has been featured in premier business media outlets such as the L.A. Business Journal and Financial Times. He is a contributor to Forbes’ Media & Entertainment section, where he discusses the topic of piracy, among others.
