All badge holders must pick up their summit pass at the Pre-Function Terrace located on the 5th Level of the Hollywood & Highland center. The registration booth will be located just outside The Ray Dolby Ballroom.
Creators! Get your day started off right as there is a jam packed, event-filled on this second day of the NALIP Media Summit. This will be located at the Creators Lounge in the Ray Dolby Ballroom. Interact, network, and re-energize in our Creator's Lounge and enjoy some coffee refreshments.
During a time of fast-paced media consumption, this session will focus on the hybrid between journalism, documentary and new platforms that allow Latinx voices to be heard. As we maneuver the next four years under a new presidential administration, we want to empower our members to share compassion and empathy through the many stories begging to be told within our nation and our world.

Day Two of the Latino Media Market: Industry executives take meetings from selected participants to pitch their documentary, low-budget feature, TV or digital web series idea in order to secure completion funds or distribution.

An Authentic Brand Story • (NALIP Insights)
Branded Content Panelists share their experience and thoughts on new trends and innovative ideas to keep audiences engaged with creative branded content initiatives. Panelists present specific cases in which original branded content formulas were successful as they share the best ways to resonate with digitally savvy consumers.
We know the deal. Agents and managers represent talent. This session will go beyond representation and focus on their day to day as agents and managers. These industry experts will share their thoughts and experience from working in this space and discuss the power behind their roles, similarities, differences and take a deep dive into packaging, intellectual property, building brands and worlds.
In a time where digital platforms are succeeding and growing their audience, panelists will discuss the value of buying and producing original content. Join the discussion as panelists reveal the challenges of developing original stories, what type of content they’re looking for and how does a diverse cast contribute to build the global appeal.
NALIP Official Selection is a unique showcase of short form content by NALIP members. Together, these works feature a variety of subjects, voices and viewpoints that attest to the rich and talented diversity of the NALIP community. The top submissions will be added to our NALIP Official Selection YouTube playlist. The Official Selection will be screened during NALIP Media Summit on June 24th, 2017 from 12 - 2pm! A conversation with WGAW writers breaking through the Hollywood system. Join us as they discuss the art form, stereotypes sometimes imposed on Latinos and the LGBTQ community, and learn from the journeys they have taken to become the writers they are today.

Panelists will highlight experiences in marrying ‘auteur’ filmmaking with a box office draw.
Animation Master Class • Presented by Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios
Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios will host NALIP’s Animation Master Class, welcoming Moana producer Osnat Shurer, Cars 3 co-producer Andrea Warren, and Coco co-director/screenwriter Adrian Molina. The filmmakers will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the making of an animated feature, sharing some of the secrets of their storytelling and revealing details about the process of finding and building unique stories that are relatable to audiences worldwide.
Rising Latinx comedians discuss how they navigate today's comedy landscape and how they have made a name for their self. Panelists will share their break into the industry, their experience, and how to use your identity as a differentiator within the market. Gain insider knowledge into building a following, overcoming challenges, and creating your own style of comedy.

The Saturday night Gala Awards Dinner is when NALIP presents its annual Lifetime Achievement, Estela, and Lupe Awards, which celebrate outstanding and historic achievements in Latino Media. Past Lifetime Achievement Award winners include: Salma Hayek, Moctezuma Esparza, Edward James Olmos, Kenny Ortega, Rita Moreno, Lupe Ontiveros, Andy Garcia, Danny Trejo, Gina Rodriguez, Raul Castillo, Dascha Polanco, Raquel Welch and Eugenio Derbez!
