Registration • Day 3
All badge holders must pick up their summit pass at the Pre-Function Terrace located on the 5th Level of the Hollywood & Highland center. The registration booth will be located just outside the The Ray Dolby Ballroom.
Creators! Get your day started off right as there is a jam packed, event-filled on this second day of the NALIP Media Summit. This will be located at the Creators Lounge in the Ray Dolby Ballroom. Interact, network, and re-energize in our Creator's Lounge and enjoy some coffee refreshments.
During a time of fast-paced media consumption, this session will focus on the hybrid between journalism, documentary and new platforms that allow Latinx voices to be heard. As we maneuver the next four years under a new presidential administration, we want to empower our members to share compassion and empathy through the many stories begging to be told within our nation and our world.
Latino Media Market: Executive Meetings (Restricted Access. By Invitation Only) • (Restricted Access. By Invitation Only)
Day Two of the Latino Media Market: Industry executives take meetings from selected participants to pitch their documentary, low-budget feature, TV or digital web series idea in order to secure completion funds or distribution.
Creator's Lounge • Day 2
Summit attendees will network with Summit sponsors and exhibitors who will display career opportunities, diversity programs and initiatives. You will also enjoy screenings and panels in the lounge! This space is meant for all creators to mingle and create ideas to build on!
The Creator's Lounge is open to all Summit pass holders, NALIP members and non-pass holders! Make sure to RSVP!
In the time of reboots and sequels, panelists discuss the importance of an original story. Join the discussion as panelists break down stories and reveal their highest potential: what are the challenges of developing original stories that have a global appeal while still resonating with local audiences? Do films outside of the action genre have potential to resonate with global audiences? How can a diverse cast build your audience?

Branded Content • (NALIP Insights)
Branded Content Panelists share their experience and thoughts on new trends and innovative ideas to keep audiences engaged with creative branded content initiatives. Panelists present specific cases in which original branded content formulas were successful as they share the best ways to resonate with digitally savvy consumers.
NALIP Official Selection is a unique showcase of short form content by NALIP members. Together, these works feature a variety of subjects, voices and viewpoints that attest to the rich and talented diversity of the NALIP community. The top submissions will be added to our NALIP Official Selection YouTube playlist. The Official Selection will be screened during NALIP Media Summit on June 24th, 2017 from 12 - 2pm! Make sure to purchase your summit pass to enjoy this screening and the variety of events we have at the 2017 NALIP Media Summit!

Agent v. Manager • (NALIP Insights)
The inaugural NALIP Insights will cover Management & Representation in four bite-size (12 minute) individual talks from two managers and two agents. Speakers individually share their thoughts and experience from working in the industry and discuss the power behind their roles. NALIP Insights is a brand-new format that will showcase four speakers per session.
Animation Master Class • Presented by Disney
Activism and the elements that make a compelling demonstration go beyond the participants. How can people gather and share their thoughts and opinions? What are the most effective forms of activism? Most importantly, how can film and television serve as an act of resistance?
Awards Pre-Reception • Presented by Hennessy
The mixer is a prelude to our Latino Media Awards and Gala. Reminder that only attendees who have purchased Latino Media Awards and Gala tickets may enter Pre-Reception Mixer.
NALIP Media Summit registration pass does not guarantee admission into the awards and gala ceremony. Must purchase Latino Media Awards and Gala ticket to enter.
The Saturday night Gala Awards Dinner is when NALIP presents its annual Lifetime Achievement, Estela, and Lupe Awards, which celebrate outstanding and historic achievements in Latino Media. Past Lifetime Achievement Award winners include: Salma Hayek, Moctezuma Esparza, Edward James Olmos, Kenny Ortega, Rita Moreno, Lupe Ontiveros, Andy Garcia, Danny Trejo, Gina Rodriguez, Raul Castillo, Dascha Polanco, Raquel Welch and Eugenio Derbez!
