A native of Puerto Rico, Amaury Nolasco moved to New York to study at the American British Dramatic Arts School after being encouraged by a director to pursue acting. A guest star on several popular television shows — including “CSI,” “ER” and “George Lopez” — he landed his first major supporting role on 2 Fast 2 Furious. In 2003, USA Today named Nolasco one of the 27 people to watch in the industry. Other TV credits include the “Telenovela” (opposite Eva Longoria), “Power,” “Deception” and a regular role on the critically acclaimed show “Prison Break.”
In addition to starring in The Rum Diary (opposite Johnny Depp) and co-starring in Transformers and Street Kings (opposite Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker), Nolasco has appeared in such films as Max Payne (opposite Mark Wahlberg), Armored (alongside Laurence Fishburne, Matt Dillon and Jean Reno), In the Blood, Animal, Criminal and Small Time.
