Angie Romero is a journalist, content producer and Latinx cultural curator. She is currently a Senior Editor on the Global Cultures team at Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming service, focused on the curation of Latin music. She serves as co-producer / co-host of the Spotify Original Podcast, Viva Latino. A former editor of Latina Magazine, Variety Latino, and Univision, Angie has also written for Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, the Washington Post, ABC News, Marie Claire, Glamour, Complex, and VIBE, among other outlets. Angie has interviewed Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Salma Hayek, Cameron Diaz, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Zoe Saldana, Jenni Rivera, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria, Juanes, Dolores Huerta, and Gloria & Emilio Estefan, to name a few. She has appeared on national English and Spanish television; been a guest on National Public Radio (NPR); and covered awards shows and music/film festivals in the U.S. as well as abroad. Her latest venture, the Hermanas Project, brings women of color and allies together via community-focused content through which honest and meaningful conversations are had, ideas are exchanged, connections are made, and opportunities are created.
