Brett King is Vice President, Creative Programming, Diversity & Inclusion for Sony Pictures Entertainment. (SPE)
King works across all of SPE businesses to provide access and opportunity for the underrepresented, working with both the Television and Motion Picture Groups to identify and advantage opportunities for inclusion. Among his responsibilities are the Sony Pictures Entertainment creative diversity initiatives, including the studio’s signature Sony Pictures Television Diverse Director and Diverse Writer programs. A television veteran with oversight of literally hundreds of hours of television under his belt, he has been a senior level executive at BET, The WB, Paramount Television Studios and 20th Century Fox Television.
His executive career followed his work in New York, where he produced innumerable music videos, commercials and promos as well as the Saturday Night Live commercial parodies as the series Film Unit Producer, all while moonlighting as a DJ in some of the city’s seminal downtown clubs. King is a proud father of two.
