Raised in Miami, FL by Cuban-born parents, Dez is passionate about telling the unknown, untold and misunderstood stories. After graduating from the Florida State University, he moved to Los Angeles to actualize his goals.
Throughout his career, he’s traveled the country extensively, gaining a unique perspective on the nation’s important and divisive issues.
He has a decade of professional experience with various productions and distribution platforms; from HBO’s “Luck," and NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior," to PBS’ “Veterans Coming Home” digital series. He helped produce the IUCN’s “World Conservation Congress 2016” in Hawaii and his directorial debut, “Baloeiros,” shot in Brazil, has a follow-up in the works.
With his expertise as a casting, development, story, field and line producer, he’s also created content for Animal Planet, TLC, Univision, A&E, WEtv and TRUtv.
He’s currently collaborating on a slate of documentary and scripted projects and dabbling in the technology and communications sectors.
