Media Arts Director at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)

Jax Deluca is the Media Arts Director at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). In this position, she oversees the NEA’s grant portfolio and field-building resources for arts organizations across the country working in film, video, audio, immersive technology, and other emerging media forms. In partnership with the International Documentary Association, she co-produced a national report on career sustainability for the documentary community, with a goal of articulating actionable strategies leading towards a more sustainable ecosystem for documentary professionals. Her field experience includes twelve years working at the intersection of arts and community-building as a non-profit administrator, educator, and artist. Prior to the NEA, she was executive director of Squeaky Wheel/Buffalo Media Resources, a media arts professor at SUNY Buffalo State College, and a board member of the Arts Services Initiative of Western New York, Greater Buffalo Cultural Alliance, and the Western New York Book Arts Center.
