Senior Director, Strategic Partnership & External Relations.

Karla Loor Kitchel is the Television Academy Foundation’s Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and External Relations. She leads the Foundation’s strategic development efforts and oversees partnered programs to fulfill the organization’s mission to shape the future of television while preserving its rich history. As the chief fundraiser for the Academy, Kitchel also leads the $40 million New Destination Campaign which has transformed the Academy campus with the opening of the Saban Media Center and Wolf Theatre and will establish a Foundation endowment. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kitchel focused on institutional advancement, organizational development, and strategic communications within the educational space. She served as Director of Development at Rolling Hills Preparatory School and Associate Director of Donor Relations at Marlborough School. Kitchel also worked with entertainment industry non-profit Emma L. Bowen Foundation, where she managed programs and recruitment. Kitchel earned a Bachelor's degree from Duke University and a Master's degree from UCLA.
