Mark Perez wrote the critically acclaimed New Line Cinema action-comedy Game Night which Warner Bros. released February 23, 2018. Directed by Jon Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the film stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, based on a pitch Perez developed together with Bateman. Game Night earned over $105 million at the worldwide box-office.

One of the inaugural members of the Walt Disney Studios’ Feature Writers Program, Perez has sold over 25 screenplays. His credits include Herbie Fully Loaded and Accepted. He also wrote Mothers I’d Like To… for Jennifer Lopez, which was sold to Universal.

As an author, Perez’s debut novel, How To Win At Life By Cheating At Everything, was published in August 2017 by Dark Horse Books, distributed by Penguin Random House. Perez regales with tales of his amazing life and bizarre upbringing, with a father who showed him how to commit every scam, con, and swindle known to man. Part memoir, part graphic novel, part Con-Man-How-To, the book works well as a guidebook for life. He is currently developing the project as a television series. Recently, Perez wrote a memoir entitled Jews of the Caribbean, which is a reflection on his experiences growing up as a first generation Cuban American.

A graduate of Florida State University, Perez married his college sweetheart.
