Natalie Chaidez is currently the executive producer and showrunner of USA Network’s Queen of the South, along with executive producer David T. Friendly.
One of the only Latina show runners currently in television, Chaidez is best known for her work on “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and “Heroes,” where she served as co-executive producer. Most recently, Chaidez served as showrunner for Syfy’s critically acclaimed drama series “12 Monkeys” and executive producer of Syfy’s sci-fi thriller, “Hunters.” In 2008, Chaidez was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for writing “The Fix.”
A graduate of UCLA film school, Chaidez began her career as a co-producer for the American drama series, “New York Undercover.” Since then, she has produced over fifteen television series to date including “Cracker: Mind Over Murder,” “Skin,” “Heist,” “V,” and “Past Life.” Other notable credits include consulting producer on USA’s “Necessary Roughness” and co-executive producer on USA’s “In Plain Sight.”
Chaidez currently resides in Los Angeles and serves as a member of California’s premiere roller derby league, L.A. Derby Dolls.
