Pamela A. Aguilar serves as Senior Director of Programming and Development for PBS. In this role she oversees the development and production of original content across arts & culture, lifestyle, history, science, nature, and documentary. She works closely with domestic and international producing communities, creative agencies and distributors forging partnerships to successfully bring award-winning programming that inspires, entertains, educates and expresses a diversity of perspectives. Her latest projects include Prideland, a digital series and broadcast special, hosted by Dyllón Burnside celebrating LGBTQ+ communities (TINY HORSE), and No Passport Required with Chef Marcus Samuelsson (VOX/EATER), a multi-platform docu-series that celebrates America’s immigrant cultures. Other credits include, Big Pacific, narrated by Daniel Dae Kim (NHNZ), The Wonders of Mexico, narrated by Anthony Mendez (BBC), and the 2019 Emmy nominated, Going to War (VULCAN). Pamela serves on the board of Women Make Movies, NALIP’s Diverse Women in Media Advisory Committee and is a graduate of The New School University in NYC.
