Alexis Tirado (Producer, @alexistt)

Alexis Tirado is an award-winning multi-platform journalist and producer. She is a Supervising Producer at BuzzFeed, the leading independent digital media company with hundreds of millions of consumers around the world. She runs Pero Like, the Latinx brand of BuzzFeed that’s focused on woke, humorous and culturally relevant video and social media for Latinx across the country. Previously, Alexis was the managing editor of Upworthy, the media brand responsible for making meaningful stories go viral. Prior to Upworthy, she was the Editorial Director of Flama, Univison’s first English-language digital destination designed exclusively for U.S. born Hispanic Millennials. In 2010, Alexis was selected out of over 8,500 candidates to become Alicia Keys' head blogger. She has also worked as writer and editor for MTV, Martha Stewart, Latina and Time Out New York.

Maya Murillo (Producer, @mayainthemoment)

At the age of 16, Maya Murillo started her blog, which featured crafts, skits, and ukulele covers. She established a following through her quirky six-second videos on Vine, and customized love songs on YouTube. She was once nominated as an Influencer by Latina magazine for #Latina30Under30 awards and considered one of "6 Latinas You Should Definitely Be Following on Vine," by Cosmopolitan. She is now a video producer at BuzzFeed's Latinx channel, Pero Like. Maya is 26 years old and lives in Los Angeles, California.

Alexis Garcia (Writer-Director,@lexroc)

Alexis Garcia is a writer, director and proud Puerto Rican hailing from New York’s 14th congressional district. Her work has spanned both TV and digital, and she has been the “voice of Pero Like” as its Social Media Strategist for the past 2.5 years. Through her previous work at Univision’s Flama and current work at Pero Like, Alexis honed an expertise in Latinx audiences & storytelling across multiple platforms, and is passionate about driving critical conversations that inform and uplift the Latinx community. She is currently showrunning Pero Like’s first Facebook Watch show, “Mi Quinceañera Come True,” which will be premiering in the Fall 2019.

Claudia Restrepo (Writer-Director, @clauddog)

Claudia Gómez-Restrepo is Los Angeles-based writer and director currently focusing on Latinx content for BuzzFeed’s Pero Like. Before producing for the world wide web, Claudia’s 2012 play Reconstruction (which originated as a NPF one act) received a Theater Unleashed Award for best of Hollywood Fringe. She is a graduate of the National Hispanic Media Coalition Television Writing Program, and a 2014 Academy Nicholl Fellowship quarterfinalist, as well as a 2015 finalist for the Nickelodeon Writing Program. One of her favorite projects to date is Lesbian Princess, a series she co-wrote and directed, which has amassed millions of views and combines her love of historical fiction with LGBTQ themes.

Stephanie Lorenzo (Editor, @its_stephlorenzo)

Stephanie Lorenzo is a video editor for BuzzFeed’s Pero Like. Previously she was a video producer and creative lead at mitú, where she created the original viral series, La Cocina, as well as comedy sketches about what it’s like to grow up in a Latino family. She is a Cuban-American from Miami, Florida and located in Los Angeles, CA. Stephanie has been editing since the age of 13. When she isn’t editing, you can find her in her favorite place, Disneyland.
