Sports Storytelling: 30 for 30 film “The Dominican Dream”

It is important to recognize the impact race and culture have had on sports through the past few decades. During this session, ESPN leaders will share their story of the making of the 30 for 30 film “The Dominican Dream." This film paints a portrait of Dominican immigrants in New York through the 1980s and 90s, as seen through the eyes of the youngest son in a loving family. He rises unimaginably high, only to be quickly cast aside as a failure. In this session, ESPN's storytelling will prove truly reflective of the immigrant experience and the impact of sports in the Hispanic Latino community.
