Eva Vives won the Best Short Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival with FIVE FEET HIGH AND RISING, a short she cast, edited and produced. She followed that up with the feature RAISING VICTOR VARGAS, which she co- wrote. Vives’ short film JOIN THE CLUB premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016. That same year, she attended the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, Directors Lab, Skywalker Sound and Music and the Producers Lab.
Her semi-autobiographical debut feature ALL ABOUT NINA, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Common, opened in theaters last year and is available on Netflix. Vives just finished directing an episode of the hit TV show THE AFFAIR, which will air in August.
Gabriela Tagliavini is an award-winning writer/director who has directed 7 feature films. She had the opportunity to direct starts like Sharon Stone, Eva Longoria, Kate Del Castillo, Billy Zane, Paul Rodriguez, Christian Slater and Mike Tyson. She worked as a writer and director for HBO Films, Disney, Buena Vista, Viacom, VH1, MTV, Starz, Videocine, CNN, Maverick, Televisa, Telemundo, ABC, Comedy Central, Amazon and Netflix.
Tagliavini received a Bachelors Degree in film directing and a Masters Degree in screenwriting from the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI). Her last film “How To Break Up With Your Douchebag” opened #1 in the box-office in Mexico, beating “Blade Runner.” For this film, Gabriela was nominated for 2 Imagen Awards (which airs on PBS) for Best Director and Best Picture of the year. She was the only female and Latina director to be nominated (next to “Shape of Water” and “Coco”).
Gabriela recently sold a pitch to Amazon to write and direct her own TV series produced by Ben Silverman. And she is currently finishing the post of her new movie for Netflix which will be released in May 2019 in 147 countries. Gabriela Tagliavini is represented by CAA.
